This year, 2025, marks the 1,700 anniversary of the Nicene Council, convened by Roman Emperor Constantine in 325 CE to unify rival western religious communities and, thus, to help unify his empire. Christians overwhelmingly view its results as a foundational moment in their history, and their beliefs and practices reflect that. Disciples of Yehoshua have no allegiance whatever to the Nicene Council. Instead, we remain true to the practices of our Jewish heritage, as documented in what Christians call the New Testament. Some beyond our ranks are awakening to that fact.
